There is endless wisdom and love, tenderness and a rooted peacefulness in these words and also room for healthy loving growth. It makes me feel love for being human. We all are sweetest children, looking for love and belonging no matter our age. This feels true to me as I sit and type at my desk, now 70 years of life under the bridge. I root for us all, and also all women especially, and mothers particularly. We can be so punishing to ourselves, and outwardly. I hope for a softening around the world.
Looking forward to learning about who we are. About who we really are and how we can love ourselves as the beautiful children we all were no matter where we came from and what we experienced. thank you.
Powerful and well written. Thank you for introducing Chelsea Bieker, her books, her Substack, and her relationship with you. Two solid pieces of wisdom in your interview and the older you get, the greater the value of both: 1) Learn to love yourself, unconditionally, every stage and every age and 2) Learn about aging and death as soon as you can because when it's your turn to walk the aisle with your dying mate, you need to understand the dying process and how scared they are.

Just ordered both books. Thank you Cheryl for giving space for, and letting us know about, another brilliant writer. xoxoxox
I read this, and then read Madwoman in the same day. Absolutely loved it and can't wait to read her other novels.
I was coming here to say the same thing!
This interview was so good and exactly what I needed to read.
People who smile often tend to have better luck. Smile itself is a priming effect.
